Compressor Operator Specialty

compressor operator specialty is intended primarily for the dive center staff. However, diving instructors, divemaster and divers, will find great interest in this specialty. In addition, because there is no need for a diving certification as a prerequisite for this course. This is a practical way to connect non-divers to get involved in the dive center, especially if they have family members or friends who are diving

During the course, the students will learn about the design and working parts of high-pressure compressors, acquire a great deal of knowledge about SCUBA cylinders, and of course will experience air filling of scuba cylinders.

 

 Learning objectives:

  • Responsibilities of the compressor operator.
  • Familiarity with high pressure compressor units.
  • structure and operation of high-pressure compressors.
  • Breathing gas quality.
  • SCUBA cylinder Types, Valves & Markings
  • Practical practice of filling scuba cylinders.

Prerequisites:

  1. Minimum age: 15
  2. No diving qualification is necessary
  3. Can be combined as part of a Dive Master course or an instructor's course.

 

Course structure and topics:

  1. Two theoretical lessons: about 3 hours.
  2. Practical experience in scuba cylinders fills.
